Our Love
Story
In the vibrant air of early September 2017, Alex and Kailie crossed paths at the local Midway "Fall Fair" in Kirkland Lake. Their love story began on the Ferris wheel, where, amid the laughter and evening lights, Alex joked about feeling old as he was turning 18 in a week. Kailie and her friend Kelsey were enjoying the view of Kirkland Lake, while Alex admired Kailie's sparkle and her ear-to-ear smile, which caught his attention. A week later, as Alex turned 18, Kailie’s best friend—who also happened to be one of Alex’s close friends—took them to The Groove in Rouyn-Noranda for a “Freaky Thursday.” It was a night filled with laughter, questionable dance moves, and memories that would be retold with a few embellishments over the years. In 2018, Kailie and Alex decided to make it official after Alex's dad questioned the amount of time they were spending together. After eight months together, it was obvious they were in love. By fall, they had both decided to enroll in Humber College’s Creative Photography program, spending 24 hours together for a two-year period by attending each class together. By mid-2020, they were graduates ready to take on the world. They returned to their hometown, where Alex worked in the dietary department and Kailie as a PSW at the local hospital. Through the ups and downs of the pandemic, they created unforgettable memories and even launched their own photography and cinematography business, K&A Studio Productions. Now, by 2024, they’ve purchased their first home and become beloved figures in Kirkland Lake and surrounding area. As August 30th approaches, It is time for Alex and Kailie to seal their love with a wedding. Soon, they will be Mr. and Mrs. Boudreault, ready to embrace life’s adventures together
